Invitation

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 13th Korea-Japan Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics and Safety Symposium (NTHAS 13), it is my distinct honor to welcome you to the Hotel Naru Seoul - MGallery, Korea. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation and respect for the exceptional dedication and hard work of the committee members from both Korea and Japan in organizing this symposium.
Since its inception in Busan, Korea, in 1998, NTHAS has been held biennially, alternating between Korea and Japan for over 20 years, except during the COVID-19 pandemic. These symposia have consistently excelled in technical quality and participation, providing a unique platform for sharing the latest advancements from both countries and fostering valuable exchanges with colleagues from across the region.
NTHAS has played a vital role in fostering in-depth collaboration and knowledge-sharing between Korea and Japan. It has facilitated open discussions on shared research interests, inspired young professionals to embark on careers in nuclear safety, and significantly enhanced the safety of nuclear facilities through the exchange of information and expertise.
Above all, NTHAS has greatly contributed to strengthening the bonds of friendship among experts from Korea and Japan. The symposium has been guided by a spirit of mutual support and understanding, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue and the sharing of cutting-edge knowledge.
